The future, the future, yeah it stays true

I don't usually write reviews, but this little band from Brisbane has caught my attention. I've seen Last Dinosaurs live twice now, and they have kept me entertained throughout the set (both times!). Fortunately, their live material also translates in the studio. They have the ability to write catchy songs without you getting sick of it, and Honolulu is a perfect example of this. The riff gets your feet tapping and head bopping, and the song gradually builds up until it suddenly turns from a cute poppy song into a frantic (but perfect) mesh of instruments and vocals. If you ever get a chance to see these guys live, do it. You will not be disappointed. I hear they're supporting Red Riders on their upcoming national tour..
